📋 DMCA Takedown Procedure
What is DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides a legal framework for copyright holders to request removal of infringing content. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.

📧 Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
Designated DMCA Agent
Required Information (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3))
Your DMCA notice MUST include all of the following:
- Identification of copyrighted work
- Describe the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Provide copyright registration number (if available)
- Include links or references to original work
- Identification of infringing material
- Specific URL(s) where infringing content is located
- Description sufficient to locate the material
- Screenshots or evidence of infringement
- Contact information
- Your full legal name
- Physical mailing address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Good faith statement
- "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- Accuracy statement
- "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
- Physical or electronic signature
- Your handwritten or electronic signature
DMCA Notice Template
⚙️ Our Response Process
Timeline
- Receipt Acknowledgment: Within 24-48 hours
- Review & Validation: 2-3 business days
- Verify notice meets DMCA requirements
- Confirm legitimacy of claim
- Content Removal: Within 5 business days if valid
- Infringing content disabled/removed
- User notified (if applicable)
- Final Confirmation: Within 7 business days
- Confirmation email to complainant
- Case closed or counter-notice period begins
Invalid Notices
Notices that don't meet DMCA requirements will be rejected. Common issues:
- Missing required information
- No signature
- Vague or incomplete URLs
- Not a copyright issue (trademark, patent, etc.)
- Fair use claims not addressed
🔄 DMCA Counter-Notice
If Your Content Was Removed
If you believe your content was removed in error or that you have the right to use it, you may file a counter-notice.
Counter-Notice Requirements
Your counter-notice must include:
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- Identification of removed material and its prior location
- Statement under penalty of perjury:
- "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification."
- Consent to jurisdiction:
- "I consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for [your district], and will accept service of process from the complainant."
- Physical or electronic signature
Counter-Notice Process
- Submit counter-notice to [email protected]
- We forward counter-notice to original complainant
- Complainant has 10-14 business days to file lawsuit
- If no lawsuit filed, we may restore content after 14 days
- If lawsuit filed, dispute resolved in court
⚠️ Repeat Infringer Policy
Three-Strike Policy
Users who repeatedly infringe copyright will have their accounts terminated:
- Strike 1: Warning + content removal
- Strike 2: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Strike 3: Permanent account termination

Reporting Piracy
If you discover unauthorized distribution of s4™ software:

📜 Fair Use Considerations
What is Fair Use?
Fair use (17 U.S.C. § 107) allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission for:
